Valeria interviews BJ Gonzalvo — The author of “Gift of Kapwa: The Filipino Core Value of Shared Humanity Shared with All of Humanity.”

BJ Gonzalvo is a husband and father of two loving children, a psychologist, a veteran who served in the Navy and the Air Force, and son to two loving parents who immigrated to the US from the Philippines in hopes of giving their children a better future. In return, he hopes to make his parents and his ancestors proud so he earned a PhD in organizational psychology, authored books on culture, faith, and leadership, married a smart and beautiful wife, and is trying to raise God-loving children.

He reflects and writes from the beautiful Pacific Northwest, often accompanied with the sound of rain, on matters of spirituality, culture, psychology, and work. His writings and reflections have appeared in Mind & Spirit Magazine, Busted Halo, Positively Filipino, and Northwest Catholic. His most recent book is “Lead Like the Saints” (Published in 2019 by Daughters of Saint Paul).
