Thriving One Thought at a Time with Dr. Sherri Yoder
Manage episode 356899775 series 3342754
Have you ever thought “I should be doing more”, “What if something bad happens?” or “I wonder what they will think of me?” These are thoughts of worry, regret, and comparison. And they set us up for feelings of anxiety and depression. But what if you could change your thoughts so you could change the way you feel? Today’s gal pal, Dr. Sherri Yoder, says you can do just that and she’s here to share how.
Dr. Sherri has been a Clinical Psychologist for years but left that post to serve as Founder and Executive Director of Thriving Thoughts Global, a non-profit organization that’s looking at changing up the whole conversation around mental health so we can all thrive in this demanding, sometimes crazy world!
In this episode, we talk about:
- The difference between mental health and mental illness
- Where motivation comes from
- Tips for being more honest with yourself
- Why every thought deserves a second thought
