Richard Jeffares loved craft beer until he was diagnosed with coeliac disease in 2015. Living on a strict gluten free diet, he couldn’t find the quality and variety of craft beer he’d fallen in love with, in Australia.

He feared he’d never do a tasting paddle with mates again!

On a road trip through America he discovered brewers making gluten free beer that was just as good, if not better, than the beers he remembered.

Richard returned home inspired and launched TWØBAYS Brewing Co in 2017.

In this episode of the Human Potential Podcast Richard talks with our host, Oliver Freer, about how he got started, the specifics of working within his chosen niche, craft beer, the Gluten Free Market, the importance of research, paying attention to the details and the challenges of creating a new recognisable brand.

Richard Jeffares has strong commercial expertise with over 25 years’ experience in general management roles, with well-developed skills in management, business development, finance and team relationships. He now applies all of those skills to his passion project - TWØBAYS Brewing Co.
During his career, Richard has been involved in many different types of businesses, including importing (steel industry), manufacturing (electronic switches), professional services (IT, engineering and project management) and retail (bulky goods). Each business is unique but has many similar issues and impediments. The initial success of TWØBAYS Brewing Co is part due to Richard's broad business experience.
