Rea has been poring over the Household Finance and Consumption Survey which is one of the primary data sources used to understand Irish household wealth – something which is notoriously difficult to get a handle on. We go through the role of inheritance in household wealth, the role of home ownership in Irish wealth and Rea gives some advice to researchers interested in using the data.
