Ep 118: From Shy/Quiet to Angry/Aggressive - Ever Felt Judged For Who You Are?
Manage episode 443456275 series 3411137
"You're a bad person, shame on you!"
Ever felt judged that way?
If you grew up being a "good girl", shy, quiet, obedient... And then something snapped and you started standing up for yourself, feeling resentful and frustrated with people walking all over you,
then where is the right balance between "too soft" and too aggressive?
And how to not feel that deep pain of being judged, never quite feeling good enough, never safe to show/be who you are, because people wouldn't understand. How to stop feeling like you need to be the chameleon, just to blend in, not stick out too much, and stay behind the wall...
Because if you show your real face, despite your good intentions and hard effort, they will unfairly judge you.
You have two options.
You can stay hiding, resentful about how NOT fair this is, feeling like there's something wrong with you.
Or you can start healing.
Because it's not about doing more, better, faster...
It's not about being quiet enough, more more loud to protect yourself.
The only way to feel ok, how to love yourself and all your beautiful (and not so fun) imperfections, how to use your strengths in a way that feels good (not just to compensate for fear of being judged), ... the only way is to heal.
Only then will it all make sense and you will find peace and comfort in who you are.
That's what this Zen Supermom podcast episode is about.
