The Yardie Skeptics come roaring back this Sunday October 11th at 12:30pm EDT (11:30am Jamaica time) following the recent visit to Jamaica of British Prime Minister David Cameron, who entered into a (non-binding) memorandum of understanding with the government of Jamaica to provide a grant of £25M to construct a brand new PRISON! Yes, you heard that right, a spanking new maximum security penal facility - provided we can find the other 60% of the cost. The veritable hurricane of views this has sparked has resulted in no less than a public outcry against the MOU, a parliamentary walk out by the opposition party, and calls for the Prime Minister of Jamaica to have a press conference for full disclosure of the deal. But will that happen? Live in studio to discuss this issue are returning guests Sen. the Hon. Mark Golding, Minister of Justice of Jamaica, and Prof. Verene Sheppard, Director of the Institute of Gender and Development Studies and Reparations Committee member.
