In Matthew’s gospel, the last charge of Jesus Christ to his disciples was to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19). This has always been the task of the church—to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all peoples and to invite them into a loving relationship with him and with his body, the church.
