In this episode, Nikki interviews Kenneth Wallace from Wallace and Wallace about his experience of becoming a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist with Essentria Aromatherapy School.

Dr. Kenny Wallace, Aboha ‘a Chihowa, is an African American Choctaw Pawnee from the United States living in Canada. He holds a doctorate in Worship Studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies with a focus on Christian contextualization of Indigenous worship. Having spent the past decade plus, recovering his Indigenous heritage, he was introduced to herbalism and later aromatherapy. He has since earned his certification as a Clinical Aromatherapist by studying at Essentria School of Aromatherapy and is a member of the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists. He runs a holistic healing center with his wife, a registered psychotherapist, called Wallace and Wallace Healing Center Inc. Together they integrate psychotherapy and clinical aromatherapy to encourage clients toward wellness.

In this episode, Nikki and Kenneth go over

  • What made him decide to pick Essentria over other aromatherapy schools
  • What part of the course he found most useful
  • How he kept on track and completed the course in 13 months
  • The importance of accreditation
  • How he’s using his certification now as a graduate, clinical aromatherapist
