In just over 10 minutes, Northeast president Ricky G. Ford gives a brief rundown of everything that is happening at one of the premier institutions in the United States...Northeast Mississippi Community College. Ford announces that the college has hired a Director of Advising & Guidance and gives his support behind that position as a way of making the college's students successful. In addition to announcing the Director of Advising & Guidance, Ford encourages everyone to be up-to-date on all that is happening around the college by listening to not only the TigerTalk podcast but Liz Roark's Northeast NOW podcast which is published once a month. Ford details what makes Northeast special and talks about the development of an Employee Development Center where the college can provide specific professional development to all areas of the college. Housed in the Eula Dees Memorial Library, the Employee Development Center will not only utilize the college's vast technological resources but will also rely on the specializations that the college's employees are able to provide to their co-workers. Ford reminds everyone of upcoming events including a Retirement reception for 12 employees taking retirement this year on April 28 at 2 p.m. in the Claude Wright Room, final exams on May 2-5, and Graduation on May 12 and 13 in the Bonner Arnold Coliseum. Start time for graduation has changed from previous years and will now start at 6:30 p.m.
