How do I establish boundaries to ensure I'm not overextending myself at work or neglecting my family's needs? What are some practical self-care practices that I can incorporate into my daily routine to prioritize my mental and physical health? How can I navigate career advancement opportunities while still being present and engaged in my children's lives?
And the biggest question of all, how do I successfully find a balance between serving patients and my family while nourishing my mind, body and soul? Well, friends … the answer is in TRAINING for your roles as both a healthcare provider AND a mother in order to prevent burnout.
I’m your host, Sarah Yturbide. I’m a Board Certified Nurse Coach operating a private practice through which I support, mentor and train healthcare working mothers to improve their connection with their careers and motherhood. I have been a nurse for over a decade and a mother for more than 20 years. I’ve experienced the pitfalls of burnout firsthand. After reaching a chronic state of burnout as both a mother and a nurse, I took action to uncover why burnout happens and how to recover from it. Through it all, I unlocked the secrets to preventing burnout and creating a balance in which I feel successful as both a mom and nurse. I feel confident in my roles, I have created boundaries, enabling me to say no without the overwhelming feelings of guilt and I now take better care of myself than I have in years so that I can be the best version of me that I can be. For myself, for my family and for my patients.
I now truly enjoy my career. I am present and patient with my family. And I feel healthy, happy and whole. The best part is that I now I share these same strategies and techniques with other healthcare working mothers through my podcast and my coaching practice.
I cracked the code on how to become a Successful Healthcare Working Mother and I’m here to teach you everything I learned along the way so that you, too, can increase your job satisfaction, extend the longevity of your career and be the loving, nurturing mother you’ve always wanted to be. All while practicing the self-care you need and deserve!
