We encourage you to opt-out of a life of urgency.

Urgency and busyness are the norm and even celebrated in our culture, but hustle and bustle have a cost.

You get to choose when urgency is truly urgent.

“It takes courage to say yes to rest and play in a culture where exhaustion is seen as a status symbol.”- Brene Brown

Our default is to create space and then recreate busy. We are uncomfortable with space and void. "Busy" is a form of buffering. Doing something to not feel uncomfortable that ultimately doesn't help you at all.

What do you want to call the shots in your life? Busy, urgency, or something else?

What if grounded or calm called the shots?

What if inner knowing called the shots?

What would intentional do?

What would peace do?

What would abundant do?

“You are not lazy, unmotivated, or stuck. After living your life for years in survival mode, you are exhausted. There is a difference.” -Nakeia Homer

Are there any circumstances where you are feeling pressured to say yes even if they recreate busy for you?

What are your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations just as they are, right now, without judgment?

What are some urgency-inducing obligations that induce a state of busyness that you could choose to unsubscribe from?

What if you said “yes” to living your passion?

How would that change your perspective of urgent busyness?

If you want to learn how to step out of urgency and not recreate busy, mindful coaching helps.

If you aren’t already a member, we invite you to join us at mindfulhealthcarecollective.com and to join our Facebook group.

If you want to find calm, contentment, and a clear and meaningful path forward in areas of your life beyond relationships, I invite you to explore private mindful coaching with Dr. Mahoney www.jessiemahoneymd.com
