With 2,287 pieces spread across 18 bags and a price tag that debuted at just $200, this set has only grown more legendary since its 2019 launch, especially after disappearing into the LEGO vault in 2021. Now it’s pulling big money on the secondary market, but today we’re looking at what made it special in the first place.

I break down everything: the dual-world design that still feels like magic, the 26-sticker Byers house loaded with show details, and that eerie light-up alphabet wall that basically screams “RUN.” From Joyce’s frantic flashlight accessories to Lucas’ slingshot, Dustin’s walkie-talkie, Will the Wise’s wizard hat, and Hopper’s pumpkin-toting police truck — it’s a full nostalgia bomb packed into 12 inches of vertical, 17 inches of horizontal, and a whole lot of creepy charm.
