We're back this week with a new franchise: everyone's favourite Jackie Chan action buddy comedy series... Shanghai Noon? That's right, The Franchisees are watching the superior (to Rush Hour) attempt at giving global action superstar Jackie Chan a fun American franchise. Are these two films the greatest American movies of Jackie's career?
Alex and Ben are joined by Hong Kong action/Jackie Chan aficionado Jordan Seccareccia to discuss Jackie's long career in China and America and his strengths as a martial artist, comedic actor, and action director/choreographer. Of course we can't leave out the other half of this buddy duo, the great Owen Wilson. Wilson is at the peak of his charm here and he has such great chemistry with Jackie Chan that we can only assume they became fast friends on set... or did they?
We had lots of fun revisiting this nostalgic childhood favourite and are happy to report that time has mostly been very kind to this film. Jordan will be joining us again next week for Shanghai Knights so play along!
