Ep #155 - Opinions are decisions you have made about topics and things important to you that you hold loosely, not in a way where you are wishy-washy, but more like, "I am not planting my flag on this hill."

Beliefs are rooted much deeper. These are the kinds of decisions you have made where you will plant that flag, when you will die on that hill, for a particular belief.

Beliefs are why people scream at each other on TV and the internet about politics and religion. Beliefs can tear families apart and destroy friendships. Opinions can be discussed conversationally and both parties can part with little to no grudge or animosity.

It is important to know the difference between the two so you can judge whether a topic is worth diving into so deep that you and the other person or people choose not to speak as often, if at all.

I know this can sound black and white. Is it?
