Diogo Jota's first-half goal ensured Arne Slot's men go into the second international break of the season top of the pile.

And Reds reporter David Lynch was impressed by the different qualities they showed in claiming three points at Selhurst Park.

He hails a strong defensive unit for their contribution to another important clean sheet, and a young goalkeeper thrown into the mix late on.
