The Terrible Gospel (3/19/23)

“Gospel” means good news. It’s good because it issues in forgiveness and eternal life. Yet the lynchpin of the gospel story is the torture and death of the only truly innocent person to ever exist. Before the goodness of the gospel is realized comes the most terrible thing that has ever happened. 5 terrible events from Mark 14 & 15 that make up the gospel story:

1. Dread (14:32-36)
2. Betrayal (14:43-50)
3. Shame (15:16-20)
4. Crucifixion (15:21-32)
5. Death (15:33-37)
