Thrifting - the act of rummaging through second-hand goods, delights and piles of sh*te to find a bargain on some item that you may or may not need.
Unless you’re Gen-Z - or a big fan of bargain hunters - there’s a high probability that this isn’t something you’ve done very often, or maybe.. ever.
But as the world makes more stuff every year and we’re all constantly reminded that it’s slowly burning down, doesn’t it make more sense for us to shop second-hand?
Aside from the sustainable angle and those sweet sweet savings, there is also the chance of stumbling across something unique - maybe even a Christmas gift or two?
This week, being a pair of big thrifting virgins, we’re discussing everything we can find on thirfting - the best items to buy, tips for effective thrift shopping, the impact of fast fashion on the world - and mainly try to figure out, why do people bother with it at all!
There’s also a sh*te game thrown in (aptly called, “Have you Sniffed that Thrift?!”)
So if any of that sounds interesting, or you think Thrifting might be the solution to your big Christmas bill this year, have a listen.
