On today’s show, we’re wrapping up the Conference Semifinals and looking ahead to the round of four, and although ymmv on entertainment value, the sheer volume of games has been fantastic. NBA Playoff basketball has kept hoopheads busy, that’s for sure, with 74 games in 33 nights, and 31 nights straight with at least one game, and Playoff hoops at that. And we still have two rounds to go! Sure it would be great if every game came down to the last possession and every star was Jordenesque every night, but isn’t it enough to watch Ant become an established Playoff superstar, or see Jokic work his magic, or Brunson do the improbable and Luka do the expected while both are hobbled by injuries? And along the way, we saw amazing performances in losing efforts from LeBron, from Shai, from Donovan, from Embiid. The volume of short video highlights you can marvel at on your phone may be light, but there are legit NBA historical storylines playing out right now. Jokic doesn’t get the repeat, that’s the big one right now but there’s plenty more, like, does Tatum get over the hump, will Luka make his first Finals, how far could Brunson carry his team and how far can 22 year old Ant carry his, and what the heck are the Pacers doing here? Fortunately we have another month of hoops to watch it all play out, with up to 14 straight days of games starting tonite! But no matter what, youth will take over, cuz either Tatum, Ant, Haliburton or Luka is winning a title. So sit back, it’s the NBA, all NBA and nothing but the NBA Playoffs and we’re breaking down how it’s all unfolding, next on the Roundup Podcast so let’s get rolling . . .
