Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
Christmas time is here! If there is one thing that that this time of year reminds of other than spending time with loved ones and enjoying cozy weather and festive decorations, it's playing great video games! Video games have long been an important staple of Christmas for me, ever since I was just a young child. Having been introduced to the world of video games when Santa brought me an NES and Super Mario Bros, Christmas and video games have always gone hand in hand for me (as it has for many other gamers as well). I thought it would be fun to do a Video Game Book Club segment this year on some video games the are directly about Christmas. I picked 3 great titles where Christmas is front and centre, not just a side detail or optional DLC. I didn't announce the games ahead of time as this was meant to be a special treat, kind of like opening your gifts on Christmas Day! Tune in to hear what 3 games I played, and if they are worth your time this festive season.
