This is a follow up from the last episode where I spoke about the pineal gland, I gave you a little history from ancient times until today. I gave you some information about what it is and the vital role it plays in your overall well being and how it can become calcified over time which limits its ability to function. If you aren't familiar with the pineal gland, or you missed the previous episode, I recommend that you listen to it. I mentioned that there are ways to begin the decalcification process through the basics like eating whole foods and drinking clean or purified water. But, there's something else you can consider in addition to some of the simple lifestyle changes I mentioned.
What happens when we try and do the best we can but the return on the investment we're making in ourselves seems to be temporary or it falls short of our expectation? It can be discouraging and It's not easy to develop a practice, and be consistent in any discipline if we're struggling with physical pain and ailments, lack of energy or depression. When we don't feel well, our efforts to function let alone overcome or just improve in different areas of our lives.. or transcend issues; becomes really challenging. I've seen how this hinders us on so many levels.

Could the cure be as simple as a common deficiency of an essential element that's not only necessary to sustain life, but may be the answer to the growing epidemic of chronic illness worldwide. I'm talking about iodine. Of-all the elements known so far to be essential to life itself and to human health, iodine is one of the most misunderstood. However, it's actually the safest of all the essential trace elements. Our medical professionals and the public in general have been led to believe that it's not necessary or that we get enough through iodized salt which is not really the case. Over the past 40-50 years our iodine levels are dropping down about 50% from where they were. In the west, we're mostly iodine deficient.
