Mollie Macarthy-Openshaw is an inspiration. After a conversation with a friend who was grieving getting older, Mollie realized she wanted to help women embrace life at any age. Her answer? Create Mood Swing Wines.

The journey of Mood Swing Wines has been about poking fun at menopause through delightfully tasting wines while providing a platform to inspire and encourage women to embrace this time in their lives. Think Covers Off Chardonnay, Memory Lapse Merlot, and Zin-o-Pause. I've had the Chardonnay the the Merlot by the way, and they are wonderful.

In this edition of "How She Got Started" of the Midlife Schmidlife podcast, Mollie shares her inspiration for her journey, what prompted her to start her own business. And how she to contacted Menopause the Musical in Las Vegas to have her wines be "the official" wine of the show. We get insight of Mollie's go-get-em attitude and hat we can learn from her. Because Mollie didn't just stop at her wines, she continued her message to giving talks and helping to lead retreats. We also talk about the realities of menopause, empty-nesters and the changes we face as a women getting older. We share a lot of laughs and a couple of midlife moments where we forget what we were talking about.
