I guess it depends. It depends on how you look at it!

Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day! This is message #150 and I am Aaron Havens.

So this is Growth Instigator Hotline number #150.
From your perspective… Are we closer to #100 or #200?
I mean they are still just 50 numbers apart.
Depends on how you look at it.
Does counting down to 100 make more sense to you and seem closer…
Or does counting up to 200 make more sense to you?

I’m going to say something that can easily be picked apart.

Might I propose that there is more that is “right” in the world than what is “wrong” in the world. This is controversial because of your perspective of the day. I mean, if this was the worst day of your life you might say the world is messed up and is all wrong. Yeah, that’s fair. I’ve had days like that. And at the same time I would push back just a bit. More is “right” than “wrong”.

Let’s break it down this way. I’m going on a big trip to Philadelphia next week. Regardless of how my day is going and what I’m personally going through… It’s crazy that I am confident that I will go on the trip and come back alive. You know how many things going “right” need to happen for this to be a reality?

The car tires on my car don’t malfunction and blow up on the way to the airport.
The food I eat at the airport was kept at the correct temp to avoid illness.
The mechanic did their job and the airplane is safe.
The pilot isn’t drunk and knows what they are doing.
A flock of seagulls don’t get sucked into the engine.
Philadelphia has electricity and internet.
My body keeps functioning as healthy.

I mean on and on. Might I propose. More is “right” in the world than “wrong”. No matter what kind of day we are having. Don’t hear me wrong. This doesn’t mean we act like nothing is wrong. Nah, the world defiantly has plenty of that.

Maybe thought we just need to pause and take in the gravity of all that is “right”!

This might just change the way we see the world, speak of the world and interact in the world! Go for it my friends.

Thanks for calling in today. Tune in tomorrow for a fresh new topic. At the sound of the beep, start from your alarm clock… I’d like to know what was “right” in your world today.
