Marc Ambinder is a journalist, professor, author, and currently a senior fellow at the USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership and Policy. Marc and Oliver chat about his recent audio course "Infodemic Cleanse" (available on Knowable) which provides easy-to-follow advice on how to engage online information mindfully. Marc explains the difference between misinformation and disinformation, providing us knowledge on how to spot false information. Marc and Oliver also talk about Taiwan's response to the Covid-19 pandemic and compare it with the US from a socio-political perspective. They also chew over Grindr's decision to remove the "ethnicity filter". HIV stigma is also part of their discussion. Marc talks about why digital literacy is all the more important and should be written into the education system.
