It’s rare to get the opportunity to talk to a rescue that has been in direct path of war and destruction and that’s why we are so honored to have Charlotte Maxwell-Jones today, to talk about her experiences over the past year, in Kabul, running the only emergency clinic in the country, and the realities that her rescue faces every day.
Charlotte is the director and founder of Kabul Small Animal Rescue, a registered charity and clinic working to take in orphaned and injured animals in Afghanistan and provide them with the care and life-saving treatments they need.
Topics Include:
- Charlotte’s beginnings in animal welfare
- Present day Kabul
- What the future holds for the rescue and Kabul’s society
- Flying animals overseas
- Caring for working dogs used by the Taliban
- Renovating the facilities for improving the animal’s lives
- The hardships and requirements for relocating animals
- Typical cases the rescue works with
- Helping dogs no matter who the owner is
- Passion fatigue
- And other topics…
