John 1:29 ESV

God will provide a sacrifice for us as he did for Abraham and Isaac. Many FFS try to cover up our sins through good works or self deprecation. But we can’t atone for our sins. This is what John the Baptist says in John 1:29. Jesus is God‘s sacrificial land to take away the sense of the world. When you feel guilty and unclean, therefore, and something tells you that you need to be perfect or punish yourself, rest in Jesus and his toning sacrifice.

Behold, the Lamb of God

29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
