Neumann's tenure spans the George W. Bush administration, initially focusing on the Faith-Based and Community Initiatives under the Departments of Housing and Urban Development and Education. Transitioning to the White House post-9/11, she joined the Homeland Security Council, collaborating with security agencies to combat terrorism.
