The 1960 Formula 1 season sees the debut of some big names of Formula 1, such as a 3 time 500cc motorcycle champion who succesfully transitions to 4 wheels, and an unassuming Scotsman who grew up on a farm, still considered today to be one of the greatest drivers of all time alongside names such as Fangio, Prost, Senna and Schumacher. We also see the debut of one of the first mid-engined cars which would go on to obliterate its competition and dominate much of the 1960s.
