×Today's episode is titled “I Call You Friend, Part 5.” God will always show up before we need Him. He often meets our needs even before we ask. But are you prepared to be a friend and do the unexpected for the glory of God? Quote: There are souls perplexed with doubt, burdened with infirmities, weak in faith, and unable to grasp the Unseen, but a friend whom they can see, coming to them in Christ's stead, can be a connecting link to fasten their trembling faith upon Christ. EGW, Desire of Ages, Pg 297…
Today's episode is titled “I Call You Friend, Part 4.” How significant is it to know that a friend is praying for you? Sometimes, the prayer they send up to God reflects exactly what you would have prayed if only you had the words. Interceding on behalf of others is one of the most powerful gifts God has given us. Use it wisely. Thank you for joining me as we continue to reflect on a friendship that was born in heaven.…
This episode is titled “I Call You Friend, Part 3.” A friendship can be one of the most powerful relationships you will ever have. However, achieving this may not be easy. It requires the love of God to open us to a friendship that gives wholly and is willing to receive. As our friendship journey unfolds, let us remember that the most remarkable friendship we will ever have is with Christ.…
Today's episode is Part 2 of a friendship series called "I Call You Friend." Jonathan's friendship with David demonstrates Christ's self-sacrificing love for us. What would we do if called to be such friends? Thank you for joining me for another episode of Dyslexia Uniquely Gifted. Hope
This episode's title is "I Call You Friend," Part 1. In it, we will explore the remarkable friendship between King David and Jonathan, a story found in 1 Samuel. What we can learn about friendship from these two will amaze and challenge us to reconsider our understanding of it.
Today's episode is titled "When the Word Fell." Jesus is the great seed planter, and He will have a harvest. The question is, what is the condition of her soul (soil)? According to Matthew 13, we can choose to allow our hearts to be a place where God's word can grow and produce a rich harvest or harden our hearts against the truth. Only God can restore the soul (soil), which is good news. He won't leave us as He found us. As you listen to this short devotional, where do you stand? Hope…
Today's episode is titled, The Word of God is Enough Pt 2. Jesus told His Father, "Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth." John 17:17. To sanctify is to be set apart for a specific purpose. That is precisely what the Word of God does. It moves us from where we are to a place designed by God to be if we let it. God's word will always be enough, no matter what we face. But it is a choice. God won't force His word upon us; however, if you are ready to move forward, you will have to do so by the power of His word. Let God's word be enough. Let it do its perfect work for you today. What Christ has begun in you, He has promised to finish. Let Him. Thank you for joining me as we explore the power of God's word.…
Today's episode is titled Letting the Word of God Be Enough. What decision have you made about the word of God? Is it enough to renew your mind, body, and soul? When you read the bible, do you walk away knowing you have been with God? The answer to these questions will shape your destiny because the word of God is powerful to those who believe. So the most important question you may answer is this: do you believe? As you listen to this podcast, think about the questions above and be determined to walk away, living the power of the gospel through Christ's word.…
Today's episode is titled The Power in Asking. Is there something you have been afraid to ask the Lord, afraid to know? Lean into the Lord until there is nothing to fear. The Lord's grace is enough for the question that needs to be asked and the answer to come.

From the crib to the cross, Jesus’s journey is a testament to that boundless love. It’s a love that stands firm through our toughest times, reminding us that no matter what, it won't let us be crushed. Today's episode is titled Life Lesson 11: Stop Hiding. Yes, we all, at some point, need to hide from God. Why? We struggle to trust His love and sovereignty. But He is always calling us out of hiding into His marvelous light. In the light, where darkness can not abide, we see Him. We know what He has always seen; we are safe in His care and love. Thank you for joining me on the journey called Life Lessons.…
Today's episode is titled Life Lesson #10: Our Wilderness Places. We will all travel through wilderness places... Some of you are going into the wilderness, in the middle of your wilderness experience, or coming out. And guess what? God plans to use it for our good and for His glory if we let Him. So you see, the wilderness isn't a bad to spend some time. God will measure our days there and won't allow it to overpower or overshadow His purpose. All we need to do is trust Him.…
Today's episode is titled Life Lesson 9 - Tear Down the Walls. The prophet Jeremiah was in prison when he heard the Lord say, "Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3. The Lord is ready to tear down the walls we have built around our hearts, but He won't force His way in. We must ask, and He has promised to hear and answer. Still struggles with your feelings about dyslexia... Give them to Jesus and Him to remove the walls of fear, disappointment, anxiousness, and frustration we have built to keep people out. His grace will come in and take the place of all that you're carrying... Let Him in... You won't be disappointed.…
Today's episode is titled Life Lesson 8, Only Believe. The word of God says, "And when He was come into the house, the blind men came to Him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord." Matthew 9:28. "As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe." Mark 5:36. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Mark 9:23. Choosing to believe Christ is not an option. It is essential for us to have if we are going to live His victorious life, the life we long for. Today... you can believe what God says in His word about Him and yourself. Today!…
Today's episode is titled Life Lesson 7: A Bright Future. We have so much to be thankful for. If we trust Him, the Lord has promised us a bright and abundant future. Jeremiah 29:11 informs us that the Lord's thoughts towards us are of peace and not evil. Since His word is truth, we have much to look forward to. We have a bright future ahead of us, no matter our past. Don't let dyslexia rob you of your future.…
Today's episode is titled Life Lesson 6: When I am Afraid. Sometimes, we are afraid; like King David, it's okay to be honest about that. He told the LORD that when I am afraid, I will trust in Thee. So you see, even a king can admit that he faced things that made him pause. But he turned to God in those moments and was delivered out of all his fears. We can, too, if we true Christ with our fear. What do you have to lose? Hope…
Today's episode is Life Lesson 5: God's Grace is Enough. What does grace teach us? It is God's strength that empowers us to keep moving forward. Why? Because grace makes us adequate to fulfill God's will, not make what's going on. Dyslexia is no match for God's grace. One of the most powerful life lessons we will learn is that God is enough. His grace is sufficient, and when we feel weak in our dyslexia, He is strong. It's not that amazing. So, what life lesson have you learned? Please share it with someone.…
Today's episode is Life Lesson 4: Find Room in Your Life for Dyslexia... so that dyslexia does not take over your life. Of course, this is easier said than done, but it can be done. Today's episode is Life Lesson 3: I Don't Need to Know Everything About Dyslexia. How true that is about life. When I learned this lesson, I was so relieved. What I have learned is two things: I need to know how dyslexia has and is affecting me and how God will use my dyslexia for His glory. That's it. The rest is ice cream on top of a cake. It's good stuff, but you can live without it. So, give yourself a break and put all your energy toward learning what God wants you to do for Him and improving your talents. I was so much happier when I accepted this. And maybe you will, too.…
Today's episode is titled "Life Lesson 2: The Power of Crumbs." Yes, crumbs. I have learned that even the smallest blessing from God is always more than enough.
Today's episode is titled Life Lesson 1: We Don't Need Fixed. You heard it correctly: One of the lessons that I have learned is that we do need to be cured because we do not have a disease. We are unique in thinking and learning differently; we are wired differently. So there's no need to fix anything about us. That is good news because we can now focus on putting the past behind us and moving forward.…
Today's episode is titled Dyslexia, Reoccurring Grief, and Depression. In some ways, grief has no end. What we learn from loss is that we will always miss what we lost, but life goes on. We find that we are no longer chained to our grief; it no longer controls us, and we learn that we still have life. Depression is always part of grief; it informs us that we are hurting inside. But with so many of our experiences, we learn to move on. I hope you gained something from the grief series and that you're well on your way to healing and moving on. Until next time. Hope…

Today's episode is titled "Dyslexia and Fear." King David said, "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1. We, too, must answer these questions. Hopefully, you will come to the same conclusion as David: the LORD is my strength, whom shall I fear... We can also come to the same conclusion that we are not afraid of dyslexia. For some, we have made dyslexia our enemy. An enemy that we fear. But Christ came so we would no longer fear but take hold and embrace what Christ has done for us... He has taken away our fear and given us His peace. Thank you for joining me for another Dyslexia Uniquely Gifted.…

Today's episode is titled "Guilt and Dyslexia." Guilt is problematic because it is based on how we perceive ourselves. We may blame ourselves for not birthing a 'normal' child or not being able to fix our child. As adults, we may blame others for how life has turned out, or we resent that things did not turn out as expected, and we feel guilty about our not-so-nice feelings. But we don't have to stay in that place called guilt. We can give it away. Yes, we can stop carrying it by giving it to Jesus.…

Today's episode is titled 'Anger and Dyslexia.' Sometimes, anger feels like the safest place to be. It buys us time to cope with the truth—the truth we would rather not face. But anger, like love, always finds a way to express itself. The good news is that God is bigger than our anger, and He waits for us in those angry places until we finally turn the pain underneath the anger over to Him. He is long-suffering toward us. We owe Him so much. It is also good news that we don't need to stay angry. We can reclaim the life Christ has for us. Do it today. Give Him your anger, and He, in turn, will give you His peace.…

Today's episode is titled 'Anxiety and Dyslexia.' Feeling anxious has become common until we don't often associate it with dyslexia and grief. It's real and can last for years; however, it can be managed so that it does not control us. The grief cycle is just that, a cycle. The good news is it does get better as we know more about ourselves, recognize it for what it is, and bring Christ into those moments. The Bible tells us to grieve with hope. That gives us purpose and a reason to keep moving forward. Thank you for joining me on another Dyslexia: Uniquely Gifted podcast.…

Today's episode is titled 'Denial and Dyslexia.' This word, denial, has sometimes gotten a bad rap... However, it can help us out. How, you might ask... well, denial has a way of buying us time to process and adjust to our new normal. However, we don't want to stay in denial longer than necessary. Denial allows us to look at things differently and hopefully accept the good in having dyslexia. Thank you for joining me as we discuss how we, as adults, have coped with dyslexia. Today's episode is titled The Amos Principle. Amos is a minor prophet with a powerful message of warning and hope. The principle that runs through this message is that God is a God of love, longsuffering, and justice. He offers this to each of us and will keep His promise if we return to Him. Those who have dyslexia, remember this principle and don't lose heart. Take God's warnings seriously and cling to the hope He offers.…
