The Gospel of Mark is unlike any other. Both the earliest and shortest of the Gospels, Mark provides us with a quick-paced, to-the-point narrative of Jesus’ earthly ministry. Using the testimony of Peter as his guide, Mark wastes no time telling his Roman audience that the good news of Jesus Christ is life-changing and world-altering. With a sense of urgency, Mark emphasizes both Jesus’ actions and the people’s reactions, leaving us all to immediately decide: Do I believe Jesus is the promised Messiah he claimed to be? In the third part of this series, Jesus will end his days in Jerusalem and officially go public with his divine identity.
