Sami Hill, repping the SWNT for Canada Basketball, pulls up on Canada Hoops! Sami sits down with your boy Matty to share her basketball story thus far. Sami tells us about her upcoming season in Spain with Araski and what her goals are for the season. Sami takes us back to growing up in Toronto and loving basketball at an early age. Sami talks about the game being a family affair and how her Dad, Sam Hill, has been a steady influence for her in basketball. Sami talks about playing at Eastern Commerce and forever being tied to the legendary basketball program at Eastern. Sami tells us about playing a season of prep at Blair Academy and how that helped her make a decision to play at Virginia Tech. Sami talks fondly about her time as Hokie; and how she worked to improve her game every year at VT. Sami tells Matty about turning pro and what she has enjoyed the most about playing the game for a living.
And you know we get into Canada Basketball with Sami. Sami talks about what it means to represent the red and white and why she never takes it for granted. Sami reflects on her relationships with her teammates, why they try to always sacrifice and commit to the Program and impact of Head Coach Victor Lapena.
