This week Pastor Stephanie explores another Agrarian Parable: The Parable of the Fig Tree. Each new day we have an opportunity to reCREATE our lives in a way that bears fruit. Too often we get obsessed with how our neighbors are being (or not being) fruitful, thinking we could do it better. Jesus warns the crowd that they shouldn’t think they are better than their neighbors who suffered a terrible fate. Instead they should concern themselves with the shape of their own lives and how they can make changes to be more fruitful for the good of their community.
