Allexia Barros is basketball-obsessed - she's a professional basketball player, who most recently played for the New England Trailblazers in the Women's American Basketball Association (WABA). She's also played for Imortal in Portugal, and represents the Cape Verdean National team in FIBA Africa. Outside of playing, she also coaches an AAU women's fourth-grade basketball team and helps train kids as well as adults.

In this week's episode, we connect with Allexia, and learn more about her route into playing professional basketball, her aspirations going forward, as well as the challenges faced by female hoopers across the globe. She also shares her knowledge of playing in the U.S. and Africa, comparing and contrasting the playing styles and overall experience. During our conversation, Allexia goes into her goals of building a brand that inspires the next generation of hoopers and athletes, and her ambitions to help people achieve their personal goals in sports.
