Remember Who You Are! "The Lion King" - Rev. Dr. Rodger Nishioka
Manage episode 434089112 series 2916906
"You have forgotten who you are, and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the circle of life." -- The ghost of Mufasa speaking to his son, Simba, in "The Lion King"
Many people draw a clear distinction between the “sacred” and the “secular.” In their worldview, sacred things have to do with God and secular things have nothing to do with God. This view places limits on God’s activity in the world. The psalmist reminds us that “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.” This means that God is present in all times and places. In this sermon series, Rev. Dr. Rodger Nishioka will explore how God is revealed in three films. Today, we look at the Disney classic "The Lion King." Our scripture reading is 1 Peter 2:9-10.
