Developing self-discipline as a new adult is difficult so Lay shares a story from her healing journey era to share lessons she learned that helped improve her self-discipline. The tips shared are mostly related to mindset. - Self-awareness and understanding yourself on a fundamental level is key- Self-image, Self-esteem, and ideal self: To improve self-discipline, it's crucial to develop a deep understanding of yourself. This includes gaining insight into your self-image, self-esteem, and ideal self. By examining your strengths, weaknesses, values, and aspirations, you can cultivate a positive self-image and boost your self-esteem. Aligning your actions with the person you want to become will support your journey towards self-discipline.
- Remembering the power of choice: Every decision you make has an impact on your self-discipline. Recognizing the power of choice is essential for improving self-discipline. By consciously choosing actions that align with your goals and values, you take ownership of your life and shape your path towards success. Embracing the responsibility of making choices empowers you to stay disciplined and make decisions that lead to personal growth.
- Stop waiting for permission; live your truth; clarity on who you want to be: Waiting for permission or seeking external validation can hinder your self-discipline. To improve self-discipline, it's important to stop relying on others' approval and instead live authentically. Take the time to gain clarity on who you want to be and what values you want to uphold.
