As we have seen in our study of the Book of Romans, the doctrine of “total depravity” – i.e., that man is completely dead spiritually – is a very real doctrine! We have looked at the definition and description of depravity as set out in Chapter 3, and today we examine the dilemma that depravity places us in. We are completely unable to serve or please God due to our naturally depraved nature! Our dilemma, then, is that we cannot save ourselves. However, the solution for our depravity is the perfect work of Jesus Christ! Join us as we continue learning about the doctrine of “total depravity.”
