#34 Ashtanga Yoga & Yoga Therapy with Tara Mitra, Ashtanga L1 & L2 Teacher & Yoga Therapist from Krishnamacharya Lineage

Tara Mitra is an authorized Ashtanga Teacher (1st & 2nd series), and a certified Yoga Therapist in the Krishnamacharya tradition. She is passionate about Vedic mantra chanting and is a dedicated rituals sadhaka. She has been practicing & teaching for over 19 years.
Tara has been blessed to practice with some of the most dedicated Ashtanga teachers in the world. She has apprenticed with only certified teachers over the years and with R. Saraswathi Jois at Mysore shala where she assisted over 200 students each month for 9 months of the year. She continues to visit India every 6 months to be with her teachers. Tara has also studied Classical Carnatic Music and continues to study Ayurveda.
Being a Yoga Therapist, she helps others heal from injuries and imbalances within the body. Her interest in yoga therapy is a focus to bridge the gap between Ashtanga as it was taught 30 years ago and now. She has helped many students return to health through yoga therapy. Tara conducts one-to-one sessions, global workshops, retreats or online courses.
Beyond Yoga, Tara has excelled in studying photography, is a trained chef, and has also won a scholarship in accounting. Her curiosity and love for understanding the mind and body led her to study psychology and nutrition.
