Does the thought of turning 30 make you want fight someone? Or make you want to work towards a doctorate in some type of science that will help you freeze time ? Yeah, same.
The fear of turning 30 is rooted in societal pressure to have achieved a certain amount of "success" such as having a career, relationship, and financial security. But we are here to tell you that you that 30 is not the end- it's the beginning of something really cool.

While sharing our personal experiences and thoughts on the transition to this new decade of life, we talk about the anxieties stemmed from the expectations placed on a milestone age, while also embracing the opportunity to reflect on our past and plan for the future.
If turning 30 is keeping you from enjoying life to the fullest, here are some tips to help change how you look at getting another year older:

  • Don't link your life goals to an age. Instead of "I need to have this done by the time I am 30..." say "I would like to meet this goal in the next couple years."
  • Avoid comparing your life milestones to other generations timelines.
  • Reject social norms regarding expectations to get married or have children.
  • Reflect on what might be causing you to not embrace the three-o.
  • EMBRACE THAT $HIT! 30 is beautiful, and so are you.

Practice makes p- did you think we were gonna say perfect? You must be new here ;) Being a perfectionist is rough stuff and can cause major impacts to your physical and mental health. We are conditioned to believe that there is only one right way to be and one path to follow and that veering away from those standards means absolute failure. In our fourth, completely unedited and imperfect episode, we explore various forms of perfectionism, explain why they're shit, and how you can tell perfectionism to literally suck it. If you still have "practice makes perfect" rattling around in your head, here are some tips to help support your imperfect journey: Avoid editing your life "behind the scenes" by not using filters or spending significant amounts of time editing your content. Therapy baybeeeeee. Understand there is no one right way to be. Don't say sorry for taking up space or using your voice. Bodies, bodies, bodies! We have them, we love them - or do we? Our social landscape works tirelessly to impose "standards of beauty" which leads to unhealthy and unrealistic expectations for ourselves and others. In our second episode, we pinpoint some of the root causes of negative body image, how we cope and how we can thrive. If you find yourself stuck in a loop of negative thoughts around body image, here are some tips for changing how you view the body: Get honest about what body standards you have and if they are true reflections of your wants and needs Intentionally dissuade yourself from looking in the mirror every time you pass one. Check yourself one more time before commenting on someone's body. Compliment someone on anything but their body. Flood your timeline with body positive media. See below!
