Some veterans get out of the military and decide to go back to their hometown. It is always a good option because you know you will have support there, family/friends. But it also comes with its own challenges and expectations.
You may be picturing your hometown exactly how it was as you left and be dissapointed to see things have moved on without you.
Or you could see everyone doing the same old shit they used to be doing and feel like you don't belong anymore as you have grown from your military experience.
And you could even feel a little of both!
