Learn about what your score means and strategies for responding to comments you receive. Give attention to not just the science but also ancillary documents like your biosketch, as these are all reviewed per NIH requirements. She encourages reaching out to colleagues for feedback prior to responding to the review requests, and explains when you may want to skip a cycle to give your resubmission the best chance of success. Above all, don't give up and know that you'll continue to improve with every grant you submit.
