Gauteng Finance MEC welcomes 2022/23 financial year audit outcomes by Auditor General of South Africa

Gauteng Finance MEC Lebogang Maile has welcome the audit outcomes of the 2022/23 financial year recently tabled by the Auditor General of South Africa (AGSA), Tsakani Maluleke. MEC Maile says he acknowledges that most municipalities did not comply with procurement legislation and that many targets which were not achieved affected basic service delivery. Maile says greater urgency is required to address service delivery in Gauteng. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Owen Witbooi ,who is the Deputy Director for Municipal Financial Management at Gauteng Treasury.
