How can Paul in the midst of suffering make statements like “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain”? Paul had a great understanding of his mission while on earth. For Paul there was no greater purpose than preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and making disciples. How can we find joy in suffering? We can refocus our mind on the mission!
