Fika with Vicky enthusiastically welcomes guests and good friends, Michelle Desrochers and Wayne Mallows. Inspired to have a conversation about Vampires, they seemed the perfect duo to invite. Michelle, which most here will know as the cohost of the popular The Outer Realm with Michelle Destochers and Amelia Pisano, has been professionally researching the unexplained for 20 years. As well, her extensive travels have taken her to Romania, the home of one very famous vampire. Wayne Mallow is the author of The Vampyre Tales. The research he put into this series is a tale on its own. This created a more historical than horrific series, which is probably why it’s one of my favourites. More about Michelle - Michelle has been professionally and actively researching the unexplained, and successfully working in Media for the past two decades with her area of study focused primarily in the Paranormal, specifically on malevolent hauntings and attachments. She is highly versed in many subject matters within her field, and as an Extraterrestrial Experiencer, has expanded her knowledge and studies to include UFOlogy and other areas considered “High Strangeness” As an International Public Figure, she is often called upon by the media to advise, create and consult, (for television and other related media). She is Co-Producer to the very popular Radio Show “The Outer Realm” to which she co-hosts with her friend and teammate, Amelia Pisano. She has a passion for old world - ancient history and architecture to which she has always and continues to excel in. Combined with her love of travel, not only did it lead her on an incredible journey of exploration into the locations that she has always dreamed of visiting, but it opened doors to venture into locations that others have been denied access to. She considers herself to be an explorer of all that would be deemed otherworldly. As time went on, he was given the opportunity to teach a drama class at a local high school, to which he accepted and focused on the importance of stage presence and character building. This later led to a request that would change everything for him. He was asked to create a “believable” Vampire character, and not only did he comply, but his character went on to become his personal persona that would later thrive as the main character of the Vampyre Tales. His books have been taking vampire fans on a journey of their own, leaving a trail of rave reviews and one award thus far, and it’s only the beginning. Wayne has spent time living in and restoring a Gothic Revival Manor House in Niagara Falls, writing and enjoying his other passion, which involved interacting with the spirit residents of his home.
