“That's taxpayer’s money that is going to support research and development and pilot projects to develop a food system that is based on environmental destruction and greed and disregard for animals, fish, and any of the other marine mammals that might be around it.” - Andrianna Natsoulas Andrianna Natsoulas is the campaign director for Don't Cage Our Oceans, an organization that exists to keep our oceans free from industrial fish farms. Offshore finfish farming is the mass cultivation of finfish in marine waters, in underwater or floating net pens, pods, and cages. Offshore finfish farms are factory farms that harm public health, the environment, and local communities and economies that rely on the ocean and its resources. Don’t Cage Our Oceans are a coalition of diverse organizations working together to stop the development of offshore finfish farming in the United States through federal law, policies, and coalition building. And, although it is not yet happening, right now the US Administration and Congress are promoting this kind of farming, which would be nothing short of disastrous for the oceans, the planet and the people and animals who live here. dontcageouroceans.org…

Much of the Western world is plagued by acts of violence. In cities large and small, surveillance cameras record assaults, murders, carjacking, purse snatching, looting, and shoplifting. Differences in political philosophies have erupted into physical altercations and death threats. Deadly school shootings shatter lives and families. Images of these violent acts fill television news programs and social media posts. Violence has become so prevalent that we are largely desensitized to it. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/making-a-chain

×The cordial atmosphere in the Oval Office suddenly changed to open hostility. Tempers flared as political allies who had gathered for a ceremonial signing were suddenly provoked when one leader tried to make the meeting more than ceremonial, raising issues that others felt were better discussed elsewhere. The highly publicized deal collapsed into an angry, name-calling shouting match, captured by television cameras, before the leader making his appeal was unceremoniously ushered out of the White House as the world watched in dismay at this potentially disastrous—but ultimately temporary—collapse of diplomacy.…
Many people think of Passover as a Jewish holiday and Easter as a Christian holiday. But are they right? You may be surprised to find Christians today keeping the Passover as Jesus Christ instructed His disciples to do.
Have you ever seen so much confusion? Today’s events and the decisions being made on a whole host of issues are frustrating. Far too often, our leaders’ actions defy common sense.
On Monday, January 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump, the 45th and now 47th President of the United States, began his second term after a four-year hiatus. President Trump has promised, from campaign trail to inauguration, to help lead the United States of America into a “Golden Age”—a time of greatness and prosperity unlike any other. But, can any government overseen by fallible human beings, with limited time, capacities, and vision, ever bring about such an age? - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/is-a-golden-age-ahead-for-america…
Opposites form the elements of many biblical lessons: life and death, flesh and spirit, wisdom and foolishness, light and darkness, sin and righteousness, and more. Such is the case with strength and weakness. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/strength-from-weakness
A long time ago, a powerful ancient Egyptian ruler came to witness the power of a Being that was foreign to him. A voice said to this mighty Pharaoh, “Now if I had stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, then you would have been cut off from the earth. But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth” (Exodus 9:15–16). - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-voice-of-old…
In this unsettled world, there is renewed interest in Bible prophecy. A search on Amazon, the world’s biggest marketplace, will easily generate a list of 100 books the retailer “recommends,” which only scratches the surface of the number written on the subject. Most of them have one thing in common: They are wrong. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/why-prophecy…
We may have first heard about promises from a childhood playmate informing us we must “promise not to tell” before they tell us a secret. We also sadly discover early in life that promises are usually broken. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/do-you-believe-in-promises
There is a great story about Art Linkletter, who was a household name and widely known in his heyday as a television personality. The story goes that, as Mr. Linkletter entertained at a nursing home, with microphone in hand, he asked an elderly lady in a wheelchair, “Do you know who I am?” The lady replied, “No, I don’t, but if you will go over to the nurses’ station, one of the nice people there will tell you who you are.” But who are you, really? - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/who-am-i…
A cousin of mine has been very successful in several business ventures. He has worked hard over many years and has accumulated wealth and property. He has the accouterments of luxury that one might expect, in the form of homes, cars, boats, an airplane, and a farm in the country. This cousin has traveled extensively in pursuit of his interests and passions. Along the way, his family has fallen apart and he has experienced a lot of heartache and pain. His “success” has not really brought him the peace of mind and satisfaction that he thought it would. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/are-you-having-fun…
On January 20, 2025, the United States will swear in a re-elected President. While polls were close before the November election, Donald J. Trump defeated rival Kamala Harris and was elected to succeed President Joe Biden. After a very contentious election, many commentators were shocked that the United States would seemingly “reverse course”! - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/new-president-same-responsibilities-vol-2…
In William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, Juliet says, “That which we call a rose / by any other name would smell as sweet.” This well-known phrase means that no matter what something is named, it doesn’t change what it is. Likewise, a lie, called by any other word, is still a lie. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/a-lie-by-any-other-name…
“Breaking News!” blares the media as another tragic shooting, bombing, knifing, or other terroristic act occurs in a church, synagogue, or amongst any gathering of people. Just by going about daily life, people expose themselves to the real danger of being killed or injured by religious fanatics or violent, glory-seeking criminal shooters. Individuals or groups fueled by racial hatred cause death and destruction. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/a-malevolent-spirit…

As you’ve undoubtedly guessed from seeing more and more houses lit up at night, Christmas—one of the most popular holidays—approaches. Many people probably celebrate Christmas as just part of “normal” culture, but many others surely celebrate it out of what they would call their Christian beliefs. For those who do keep it out of sincere religious belief, sometimes I wonder how many of them ponder the important question: Is Christmas in the Bible? - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/is-christmas-biblical…
In some religious circles, professing Christians argue that preaching Bible prophecy is irrelevant, or even contrary, to preaching the Gospel message! Bible prophecy may be an interesting topic, they say, but prophecy is not significant to our salvation. Is that true? Many professing Christians believe that the gospel is only about the person of Christ, and they ignore what He preached. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/prophecy-versus-the-gospel…
How far will you go to get healthy? Maybe the best medicine isn't the kind you get from a doctor or a vitamin store. Being healthy and living up to one’s full potential is trending these days. The popularity of gym memberships, vitamins and supplements for the mind and body, and food consumption awareness are on the rise. Technology has even taken advantage of the trend, with devices catering to the health-conscious lifestyle. Society’s quest for a better, healthier “you” has even led to an interest in an unlikely area—spirituality.…
There have been many events in mankind’s history that are considered pivotal. A list of relatively recent events would include the First and Second World Wars and the Great Depression. Other significant historical events include severe pestilences like the Black Death and extreme famines and earthquakes. Many of these events are battles, downfalls of empires, or inventions that “change the world,” such as the printing press, electric lighting, the automobile, powered flight, computers, the Internet, or atomic bombs. What is the most pivotal event to come? - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-next-most-pivotal-event-in-history…
Being able to accept responsibility for one’s personal decisions and daily actions can seem like a rare character trait, especially in today’s ideologically and emotionally charged atmosphere. When circumstances do not support a desired outcome or a personal right for someone, many present themselves as victims. This is not a new phenomenon, since human nature promotes self-interest over concern for others. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-he-who-verses…
Flash freezing, icy roads, snow blowing sideways, and blizzard conditions. Arctic temperatures, gusting winds knocking out electrical power, and canceled flights interrupting travel. Winter storm Elliott affected the majority of the United States. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/gods-power-over-the-weather…
The field of neuroscience is a fascinating exploration of the human brain and nervous system. It examines how the brain is involved in everything we do—thinking, feeling, moving, learning, and remembering—as well as how it communicates with the body. Neuroscientists study brain development, adaptability, and what happens when things “go wrong,” such as through injury or disease. The brain, the human body’s “control center,” shapes our experiences and actions in physical terms. But is there more to existence than electric and chemical stimuli? What deeper connections might define our humanity? - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-prayer-connection…
Why do we resent correction? Very early in life, we rebel against being told “no” or being prevented by a parent, sibling, or teacher from doing what we want. What is it about human nature that makes us resist correction? We may think of correction as punishment, but correction is really a necessary tool. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-chastening-of-the-lord…
The mystery of the future is one of the captivating elements in the mind of a young person as he or she imagines life ahead. Children come to wonder about their personal futures. A young boy may declare that when he grows up, he wants to fly jet aircraft. One of my own sons wanted to operate heavy earth moving equipment. My granddaughter wants to be a princess. As it so often happens, the desires of youth shift to different goals as the youngster becomes more familiar with his or her talents and skills. But, one thing usually remains the same—concerns about the future. A young person will want to know about his or her personal future. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/mister-know-it-all…
Salt is an important commodity, and it has been for millennia. It is one of the basic necessities of life, so vital that it was even used as a form of currency in ancient times, giving rise to the common saying that something or someone is “worth their salt”—or not. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/the-importance-of-the-salt-of-the-earth…
When I was ten, we had a bully named Billy in our neighborhood who threatened to beat up anybody who would cross his path the wrong way. Billy stood a foot taller than most of the other boys and was twice as bulky. Billy seemed to be in a bad attitude most of the time and was always seen pounding his fist into his other hand in the standard bully fashion. No one doubted his threats. Of course, it was his vague definition of “crossing him the wrong way” that created the fear that most of the kids in the neighborhood experienced. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/if-it-doesnt-kill-you…

The heartrending stories of human suffering that often dominate the daily news cycle can burden us heavily. “Nothing is worthy of respect. Nothing is sacred. There are no absolutes. Humankind must make its own way.” This widely held belief or viewpoint is an atheistic, materialistic approach to life. If one holds this view, then there are no real restraints on behavior. After all, who cares? What difference does it make? According to this view, there is no accountability. - Full text here: https://www.tomorrowsworld.org/commentary/something-to-count-on…
