The thing about any addiction is that it will never say no to you. Even when it hurts you, your addiction never calls you or forces you. You summon it. You actually hold power over it, but that power controls you for one reason or another.
The most silent and least talked about addiction of all is pornography. The true crux of pornography is the fantasy of an intimate connection that leaves you more isolated than when you started.
