LSU coach Kim Mulkey was right to challenge the sexism in the Los Angeles Times article by Ben Bosch. She did not, however, speak to the racism of the comments in the article. Once again, we have put our racist and sexist views on a new generation of athletes. As Angel Reese said through tears, "I'm still a human." It's disgraceful that we are denying these incredible young women their humanity. America must do better but I find myself questioning if we ever will.
