One of the positive aspects of TikTok is finding life hacks and weird features of everyday items that you wouldn’t know about otherwise. Most recently, the hack going around has to do with your microwave — and while it’s not exactly a secret, many people are just now finding out about it. TikTok user @thehypnoinfluencer shared in a video with 6.8 million views that the glass on the microwave door slides out, making it easier to clean.

In the headlines on #TheUpdate this Tuesday, a man fatally stabbed three people across a swath of Manhattan, carrying out a series of random attacks without uttering a word to his victims, officials said. Congestion pricing is back! The MTA on Monday approved a new plan to charge drivers $9 to enter Midtown Manhattan starting Jan. 5.
