Brian Bergford is a nationally ranked Masters swimmer in the US who has competed at various competitions, but it wasn't always that way. For 30 years Brian had a debilitating fear of water, more so having his face submerged even for a second. We discuss this fear and how he overcame that to compete at the top. Brian also has a degree in psychology and is now a sports peak performance expert and we delve deep into the psychology behind what it takes to be the best and perform at the top, where that comes from, and how that can be achieved.
