Today we discuss the enigmatic emcee and producer that is oddisee. He has been in the game for a long time on the low but has built a great following and is growing steam. Arguably the most versatile music producer the D.C. region, the Sudanese-American composer creates beats for others, he travels the globe six months a year, and his presence was felt back in 2002 on DJ Jazzy Jeff’s Magnificent album. However, Oddisee’s sound is deceptively laidback; his plethora of sounds and palpable use of samples interwoven with live instrumentation add depth and require a certain degree of attention to pick out.
