About Andrea:

Andrea is a social anthropologist and filmmaker.

She was born in Basel in 1974 and spent her childhood in Switzerland and Canada. She has lived in Germany since 1989. She is married and has a son.

After graduating from high school, Andrea traveled through Latin America and then studied social anthropology at the University of Münster. During the documentary film project "American Daydream" she met inspiring artists and taught herself how to edit short films. This led to her first job as an assistant director and editor in a Cologne film production company.

After the birth of her son, Andrea Lötscher founded mondrosen.dokumentarfilme. Since 2007 she has worked as a freelance filmmaker in the field of documentary film, image film and documentation.

She has produced over 140 short films and two long documentaries.
