What is meditation? Why do preachers need to meditate on the biblical text?
When you hear the word meditation, you might think about people sitting in a lotus position, trying to reach a state of inner zen. What I am talking about is something vastly different. I am talking about giving your mind time to digest a passage of scripture. I am talking about reading, thinking about, and pondering a biblical text, milking it with the mind, to obtain every ounce of truth the text possesses.
